BEAUTIFUL SCENERY OF ALIBUAG WHITE BEACH
Alibuag White Beach is locatedAbout 71 kilometers from the heart of Brgy. Mangga, Sugbongcogon, Misamis Oriental. East of Cagayan de Oro at the northern part of the Mindanao Island in the Philippines, you can find the natural beauty of Alibuag White Beach. The place boasts of natural, chilly-cold and crystal clear water. From the highway, you will need to take about 600 meter uphill climb to reach the area with my favorite travel buddy, we drove to Brgy. Mangga, Sugbongcogon Alibuag Beach Resort,Sugbongcogon, for more or less two hours, from Cagayan de Oro. It usually takes long rides to enjoy white sand beaches in Northern Mindanao.
The scent of the ocean assaulted my nostrils as I had walked passed it. The palm trees blew in the mist of the cool sudden gust of the tropical, morning air, like smooth feathers swaying side to side. As the majestic eagle swoops past my shoulder I suddenly found myself in my most favorite place to visit on the face of this planet; the Alibuag White Beach. Alibuag combines crystal clear waters, sugary beaches that squeak, and lush hilly landscapes into an idyllic tourist haven, that's guaranteed to fascinate anyone into tranquil harmony with its simplistic beauty.
Alibuag’s pure white beach is a sun worshipper's heaven on earth. During the summer season, White Beach results in calm, turquoise seas, ideal for leisure and frolics in its warm water to cool off from the summer's tropical heat. The northern shore contains numerous shelters and picturesque bays, rewarding the impassioned walker with many great scenic views. This is a clean beach with life guards stationed near risky areas and to warn people who venture deep inside. The trees at the shore, sun over the horizons and the freezing water are scenic.
Around 500m from the National Highway, we arrived at around 4:00 pm just to witness the sunset, we had about 30 minutes or so walk along from the national highway to Alibuag White Beach, before the serenity of the ocean views that are over-taken by the awakening of Alibuag’s night life, offering a hotel that add an international twist to the evening. We had brought with us the “Baon” so we could eat while swimming, gazing and roaming around as well. There was a 40 pesos entrance fee which is of course, consumable. First Activity: Fishing Tilapya in the pond. As far as I can remember, you have to pay for the rent of fishing rods (10 or 20 pesos). Overall it was a very refreshing experience and would like to visit again.
But before taking this into account, you need endurance so you could take into place you wanted. You can witness the photos below how beautiful the place is. This will make you feel refreshed just by looking at it, how much more to see for yourself. On the other hand my personal review having gone to the place twice, good thing about the sea is that you don’t immerse with an itchy body unlike any other beaches. My honest rating from a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 as the highest: I rate it at perfect 10 because this made my memory a sweet and worth reminiscing and made my day perfect just by having important people around me.
If you are looking for an excellent place to lounge or to just let your mind be set free, then Alibuag is the perfect place to be. That would be an unforgettable memory I would always remember.

Shallow scuba divers and amateur divers love this island because of its constant sightings of eagle ray, surgeon fish, starfish, and other aquatic biologicals that live in and around the beautiful coral reefs. It is also a marine sanctuary as the breeding ground for endangered giant clams.
Food is a big part of Filipino culture, and Agutayan White Island in Jasaan is no exception. Along the main stretch of White Beach, you’ll find countless street food carts, outdoor barbecue joints, and upscale restaurants that show off the country’s unique culinary influences. Here, vendors show up each day with fresh-caught seafood, which can be purchased by the pound (bargaining for a lower price is all part of the fun), then brought to any of the surrounding restaurants and cooked to your liking.
The sand isn’t as white and fine when compared to White Island in Camiguin, but it’s still fun to go there especially in the early morning or late afternoon.
It can get stinging hot during midday since the island has no cover; like White Island, it’s just a sandbar. If you plan to stay almost the whole day, make sure to bring enough food, water, cooking, and eating utensils and equipment.
In case you hadn’t already heard, Agutayan White Island in Jasaan is a serious party destination. Spanning the entire weekend, the lineup is a collection of all-night raves, concerts, regattas, and colorful events that take place across the island. May 1 also marks the official start to summer in the Philippines.
